Up for sale is my much loved T4 panel, its a lovely piece of kit. Quick run-down of what it is...
Basic Info...
1995 T4 semi-converted panel
1.9D (Non-turbo)
It's White...
MOT 'till November 2011 (Last one failed on seized Load Sensing Valve, this was fixed, I also have a spare one with the van that I bought incase I couldn't fix the seized one)
Tax till end of May but I will put another 6 months on if I get a reasonable price (or the buyer has keen negotiating skillZ)
All the belts were changed just under 10k miles ago. (I have the receipts)
Ok enough of the serious details and onto the fun stuff!....
Clear Indicators
Wind Deflectors on the doors
Quicksilver Logo on rear panels (to give that "I'm not a plumbers van - honest" kind of look!)
Lowered with CMS 60mm springs on the back
Nuts wound down to a respectable height on the front (still nice to drive over speed bumps but has a noticeable nose down stance)
JVC Head unit with CD/MP3/USB/Aux inputs (removable faceplate)
2 x 6 x 9 Speakers in the back and uprated speakers in the cab area
Fold-Down DVD player in the roof that supports DVD/SVD/USB - wired into Head unit so sound routes through 6x9's
Professional split charge system with leisure battery
240V Inverter with UK plug socket
Stereo, Interior lights + door lights all run off Leisure battery
Volkswares Full Width Rock and Roll bed with mattress
Fully insulated with sound-deadening, boarded and carpeted throughout
Laminate flooring in the rear (Not lino)
Caravelle headlining and interior trim
Pop-up ventilation hatch in rear
Tow Bar and full electrics
VW Bonnet Bra (to emphasise the "I'm not a plumbers van - honest" kinda look)
And now the not so fun stuff...
The Speedo reads 259,000 miles... BUT WHOA THERE HOSS! don't run away yet... when I bought it, the seller told me it had had a replacement engine, he didn't give me any details as to when, but I had this confirmed when I needed to replace the oil pressure switch, the engine that is in it, is either from a Polo or an Audi, so the mileage is defo not accurate for this engine - (Hence why I got all the belts changed as soon as I got it)
It still pulls great uphill and will sit at 75-80 with no worries at all.
I've taken it down to Devon & Cornwall many...many times without it missing a beat!
As you can see from the pics the wheel arches are not in too great shape, when I bought it, it had horrible silver wheel arch covers that had been screwed on with self-tappers???
I've pulled them off and tidied them up, but they could really do with some wirewool action, primer'd and sprayed to get the 'look' back.
The rest of the van is in pretty good shape body-wise, a few little scratches here and there, what you'd expect to see on a 16 year old motor..
** The macwise stickers are removable and I can take them off prior to sale/collection.
Underneath its clean & doesn't drop any oil (the MOT guy reckoned it was one of the best vans of that age he'd seen - I still didn't give him a tip!)
OK, if you're still reading you'll prob be wanting to see some pics now.. so here you go..
More Pics...
And some more...
Arches & sills..
The macwise stickers on the sills are removable...
**Apparently I can only attach 10 images so please look at next post for some more....**
And now the price... I've been trying to compare with whats out there, and I don't want to ask silly money and drive prices up.. so I'm looking to get what it owes me.. sooooooooooo...
£3200 ono (as near as damit will do)
if anyone wants more pics or to view or even to buy.
You're probably wondering why I'm selling... I could give you the legitimate reasons... such as I'm expecting my first kid in Aug and I've just got married etc... but the real reason deep down is that I have a beetle that needs finishing and I have a huge yearning for an old bus again..
