Well, I got Harry's wheels back and I am quite impressed with the work. I will stick the suppliers name and address on the Yellow pages bit, they are : Unique Powder and Paint in Northampton. It cost me £100 for all 5 wheels fully blasting and powder coating front and back. I think they did a pretty good job. They will also consider letting you use their booth for your own spraying at a cost. ;D Here is one of his front wheels finished, ready to go on (when the beam is on). I have gone for 155 x 55 x 14 on the front and sticking with 185 x 80 x 14 on the back. This gives the front end a 2" drop already without the weedeater beam . I am on the lookout for 3 more baby moon caps like on the picture, I can get em for £35 each but being a tight yorkshireman I want to pay less The one on the picture cost me £3. Keep an eye out guys, I'll pay a finders fee. More news soon.

Yeh Lammy you're right, wot I meant to say was deep domed caps, not the flat ones like a lot of the post 68 buses have.

Update.................................... Spent quite a bit of time on it now and jobs done : Rear hubs refurbed, spring plates removed to be cleaned and painted, ready to drop 2 spiles on da back Anybody know where I can get new spring plate covers cos mine are F*cked Everything came apart pretty well apart from one spring plate cover bolt that needs drilling out. Why didn't anybody warn me about how many things have to come off to change the front beam Gear lever, change shaft, steering drag link, handbrake cable, they all pass between the bloody top and bottom torsion bars !! Got it all done, took all the beam bolts out, removed the brakes and guess what theres a 2" weld between the chassis and the beam on the drivers side and I didn't have my grinder with me Forgot me camera, but when I cut the weld off and drop the beam I'll take some photos ;D I'M LEARNING AN AWFUL LOT AND THANX TO BEETLEBOY FOR LETTING ME PRACTICE ON HIS VAN ;D ;D ;D
