Yo, all. Shall start off with my ride:
I am manixman, owner of the very beautiful Prudence, a 1980 t25, aircooled (of course) 2.0L Vege recon engine with twin carbs, hand painted in bottle green (from B&Q!!), featuring flower vinyl decals, and hand prints in a daisy chain.
She is a sweet runner, with a full service history going back to 1996, not to mention only 22,500 on the clock. She is a show-going-whore, having attended virtually every show (sometimes many) every year since 1997, with Bug Jam, Van Fest and Stoner featuring most of all. She will be entered as "Best in Show" at this years VW Action, and hope she wins (i might be mad, and she might be crazy, but its that kinda style that wins the judges!!). She is a very nice Viking conversion (5 berth, 1x double bed and 1x single bed + storage up in poptop, and rock 'n' roll down), along with gas heater, thermostat, zig, lesuire battery, 12v, twin header DVD, Decent stereo, fridge, gas, sink, water pump, 240v hookup and more sex appeal than a mondeo in heat.
As for me, Real name: Adam Moreland, Occupation: Project Manager in Cranfield, nr Milton Keynes (the commute is a bitch, M1 sucks, and Prudence doesnt like it too much). I am 22 on the 6th september, no kids, can be seen pissing about with Prudence on side of Abington Avenue, or just pratting about town in her (give us a wave!!), I love to drive, first time camper owner, long time lover of VW-Dubs, and show-going nut. My friends think i am mad, my dad thinks im a hippy, and who knows what the residents on my street must think!! But i have it, painted it, and love it. It is worth every penny of the roughly (*thinks quick and makes up value based on eBay prices*) £4,500 value (Dont fret my friends, i never paid anywhere near that much, not even same ball park, or town, i paid low, i got it cheap, and done her up to be worth that kind of money, after all i am a tight wallet welshman), but she is not for sale ;D no chance, sorry, no way, no how, not even for a splitty.
My mechanical experience has been gained by HAVING NO CHOICE!! My Dad taught me how to do loads, but without him anywhere near me i have done; Bug Jam (though i made it there and back again) taught me how to fix carbs, Gathering on the hill taught me how to fix fan belt/alternator, reasons for other VW Events i never made include, sliding door fell off, battery failed, wouldnt start (no petrol, was siphoned off), and my personal favourite...overheating in the lion enclosure of Woburn Safari Park, only to find that my horn doesnt work anymore, just as the lions move closer...
And judging from my track record if i make it to a VW event, it will be a miracle (kidding, she is sweet runner...now).
Anything else, y'all wanna know, ask away, think i covered it all!!
