how do you remove the ball joints from a beam? ta mike

Give the spindle a tap/wack with a hammer where the ball joint goes thru it. Undo the nuts first.

Yes this I knew but does the ball joint bolt to the arm? Or does I hAve to be pressed out? Thankpoo

you can press them out or smash the jiont out the weld a bead inside of th joint and it should pop out ish lol cheera s andy

get them pressed out as any other nethod can distort the hole there in= one scrap arm. if i remember correctly heritage sell arms with new joints in them, dont work out to bad money wise and the cars not of the road while you wait to get them pressed in.

you will pay someone £40 to press a ball joint in if you can find somone to do it. add to that the £15 for the ball joint and its not bad. I know its the way i do it as fitting the ball joints is a real pain in the arse.

shell tune at kingsley front will change them for you for 10 pound . just make sure you tell them they only move one way , any problems call me 07732328803

sweet, when i remove the beam i shall see if they actually need removing, i did see that you can replace the dust cover for £3 something. i think they were mullared for fitment!
