im getting a grinding when i try and shift into reverse, plus it struggles to shift into first and second a little.
im no mechanic but think its something to do with the clutch.
im going to get underneath the car and check the tranny mount etc and im going to adjust the cable to see if that helps.
ive got lots of movement in the pedal before it engages, so i was thinking that maybe the clutch has worn to a point, that it is no longer fully engaging properly. im hoping that with some adjustment it will be able to engage better again.
ive also been told to check the sag in the cable tube.
has anyone else got any advise or ideas ?
like i say im going to have a little fiddle later today but may have to seek the help of a professional, if these adjustments dont fix the problem.

i removed the skat gear shifter, to see what was going on underneath. all seemed fine plus i couldnt see any way of adjusting anything, so i put it back on. i then removed the left back wheel, the tube looked like it has a slight bend in it, so i left that alone and then adjusted the cable by turning the wing nut clockwise. the biting point on the pedal has now moved higher and now the gears are shifting much better.
ive just took the car for a quick razz and all seems fine at the moment. fingers crossed, the adjustment has sorted the gremlins.
