is it hard? any special tools needed?
hopefully ill be changing mine reading for action/edition
got my hands on some 1600 heads and 1641 b&p

I suppose it depends if you want to do a yeah haa job and just throw it together, in which case a few spanners, a torque wrench, circlip pliers, some sort of drift to get the pins out, piston ring tool and piston ring compressor.
Ideally you want to check the ring gaps (feeler gauges), deck height (dial gauge/stand/clamp) and head volumes (syringe, plastic circular disk and paraffin) and then get the heads machined to match and fettle everything else to suit.
You'll need new gaskets and pushrod seals etc too.
