you may notice a bit of increased valve seat wear but thats all. I dont worry about it. When its knackered it knackered. Its lasted 44yrs so far and I dread to think how many of those have been in the post 4 star era... if you're worried or do high mileages then use an additive

ok kl.......just out of interest....what are valve seats? can they be replace??? expensive??

The seat is the ring of hard material which is embedded in the aluminium cylinder head onto which the inlet and exhaust valve seals. A new pair of heads is £300+ so its worth investigating refurbing but often they'll crack so check you're old ones before spending any money on them
