Hi Just got my New (new to me) drivers door for my 66, the hinges on it are rock hard, wont move atall whats the best way to free em up ? lotsa heat and WD40 ? Also can anyone tell me what tax class my 66 is ? fillin in a V5 app.

i wiould put loads of wd40 on each day for a few days and then see if they start to move
your class would PLG i think

Appartently its Historic Vehical after much looking on the DVLA site, well if its Tax exept anyway!

oh yeah gotta love tax ex anything befor jan 73 is exempt (i think?) so your well in there m8 but yeah back to the door id give it a nice spray of the wd40 let it soak try and move not too much pressure but you might need to force it a little and keep doing that avery day hopefully itll solve the prob

Hinges freed up at a 4 days spraying wd40 leaving then over night then heating them up with a blow torch in the morning and re applying wd40 (with a bit of help for a hammer)
