Recently got myself a 79 Devon Bay which I'm restoring ATM but I'm having a little trouble with my roof...
It's got real rust issues all around the guttering area where waters been pooling and because of damaged roof seals etc i think. The pop top is fine, it's the roof beneath that's the problem. All a little complicated for me to deal with. Basically i want to remove the pop top and get the thing re-tinned but i have no idea of where to get this done, or what sort of price to expect?
My first van so I'm new to all this, so any advice sure is welcome!
Cheers (and hello, first post and all!)

big job however you look at it. lots and lots of weld time involved and its going to look a damn sight worse before it looks better. depending on the pop top their might be strengtheners to refit where they have been removed for the pop top. its a real head scratcher for anyone to give you an idea without first looking at the problem then going away for a cup o tea but never fear i'm sure there is someone out there that fancies the job ;D

replacing the who;le roof sounds like it would be the best option..i dont think it would be to bad a job just depends on how far the rot has gone..you can buy second hand roofs for bay windows and i would expect to pay around the £200/£400 dependent on condition. i may have a complete and straight tin top on a panel van shell that at the right price could be persuaded to sell you to use as your donor?? honest abdul has my number....
