can anyone help me please. i have a 1980 vw transporter and guess what folks i have lost the key and guess what folks i dont have a spare. It is one key for all locks and ignition. I managed to get in the van and i took the sliding door lock off and took it to a locksmith in kingsthorpe. A key was cut which opens the doors (except the tailgate), bit of a tight squeeze, but it doesn't turn in the ignition. The locksmith said to take in the passenger door lock and he can try and get it sorted...but I was wondering if there are any v dubbers in northampton who may be able to help. I have to get this sorted before chrimbo day or I be eating my dinner on my own and not with relatives in the flatlands of Lincs. Come to think of it that don't seem...no...no I need to sort it folks. Any suggestions??? I am in Somerset St in the Mounts area my mob no: 07957621655

Can a VW dealer not got the lock codes via HQ and get you a key cut to spec. You'll just need to take your V5 doc and ID I guess?
