whena friend serviced my van they screwed the spark pugs in too far! is it easy enough to remove the head so i can have a proper look at them? and posibly try to remove the spark plugs??

the engine bay is a bit bigger in the bay than a bug though isnt it??!! i wasnt sure if you cud get them out from underneith??

engine out job. but how can you screw a plug in to far? it's only like a bolt and will tighten up till the shoulder of the plug bottoms out on the head. cheers rob

I think you would hear a distinctive tapping noise of the piston wacking the plug if it was too far in !

judgie i think you told me that they were in too far?? or too tight? it was when i took my van to you for a service remeber the red oxide bay? u said you cudnt get the plugs out because of this? let me know cheers mike

i remember now, think it has the wrong plugs in, long reach ones instead of the short ones it should have. only way to find out is to whip the heads of and have a look. try and take one out first, if it fooks up then you are deff going to have to remove the head. cheers rob

no worries i was contemplating new heads anyway! more money but ill ahve a looksie when i get it back from paint! thanx for getting back to me ;D
