i536.photobucket.com/albums/ff324/alsNTX/hellyeah.jpg[/IMG well it got darker sooner than i thought after messing around with the windscreen wiper which i extended and drilled so it will actually clear the screen! Wandered why i have a bad earth and 3 wirers came off in my hand even though i`d crimped everything and heatshrinked every wirer, whats going on? looking at soldering every wire and conection eeek, not blown a fuse and re-wired by myself without a diagram not bad for me! never know what i`m cooking at work oh ek yeah ha ready steady Alex!!!

Thanks matey! The mk1 golf across the road needs me and some proper tlc! going to buck up my idea`s and finsh the damn thing but not for a £100 that they wanted to spend! I`ve done a beetle in Overstone 1 rear valance, 2 new rear aches (whole) god knows about the the rest!! yes alot of work but it took time!! bug 2 heaterchannels, bulk head `A` posts ,front arches, rear arches, rear quarters, bumper mounts and nothing to align it too and at the end 3mm out not bad for £600ish pounds for a first attempt on a bug! yeah i`ll do it again!! I`m Alex I`m MAD!!!!!!

Well i`ve been outside working on the buggy in the snow and changed both rear shocks to softer standard ones, put two new bolts on the track rod ends as some one had nicked one! And tried to start the engine! Well it worked fine for 10 seconds and gave up the ghost! Checked everything and then just as it started to snow after changing the battery three times, found that the carbon bush between the rotor arm end contact and the middle copper bit had disappeared Flooded the engine too will check it out again in the snow tomorrow brings me back to the day when i was rewiring it the rain

Well had a bit of a prod to day and found a fairly large hole in the front frame head! ordered new bottom pan to weld in this week and another hole just behind it in the tunnel section! Not to bad! Was really good five years ago! Replaced 1200cc engine with a freebie 1600 ad lump which sounds sweet! New clutch, newish starter motor, new wiper arms modded, new bucket seats! waiting on my wheels and roll bar from C and F sevices near brixworth for the powder coating! And new 275/60/15 cooper cobra tyres on the back, 215/60/14 on the front! Pics to follow soon! should be on the road next week if the weather holds up for me! ;D
