I was hoping for the end of March, but more like middle of April now. The cold weather has slowed me down, Its all being done in a single, 2 foot either side, cold garage so i have to do things in order. All the bumpers door cards, dash etc are in the roof space of the garage, so i have to spray the shell in top coat then i ca put the van outside under a cover and only then can i get on with painting the dash and other bits. Trouble is i dont want to spray in this cold and have the paint blooming on me, ive got anti bloom thinners but you never know ;D Sorry mate i went on a bit there , Stanford Hall is the deadline, i want to be sitting on a deck chair next to it in the display, boring people about how many panels ive changed ;D

Just realised that i never did finish this. I finished it last summer and had a week away with the wife in Cornwall, had a great week, the van did well, but lost loads of oil on the way home then started making a loud knocking noise, so we had a nice 200 mile journey home on the back of a flat bed lorry. By that time i had enough of it and coverd it up and cracked on with finishing the house. Then January came around and i started getting itchy with the van. So out came the engine. I split the case and found a big end bearing had gone (so that was the knocking noise), i polished the crank, new bearings and balanced the con rods. Rebuilt it, put it back in the van and it sounded really nice...until i took it for a drive, it was pissing oil everywhere, so out it came again and did a pressure test on the case and found a hair line crack just under the oil cooler..Bummer!! So i scrapped the case and found another AD on Ebay for £100. When i picked it up and split it, it had a better crank and cam then mine so thatwas a bonus. I fitted new bearings, painted the case and got the tinware sandblasted and painted. So in it goes again, timed and tuned and runs great with not one leak! Ive swapped the dizzy for a vac advance elec igition, it runs like a new car now So......after about 5 years. Im done A few piccies. The door cards are all in now and the seats and rear seats have been redone in cream and brown piping. The cupboards and units i wanted to keep 70's-ish so found some doors from Ikea. Ive fitted an old 70's radio, mint 70's tape player and a cb. The bottom shows how it looked when i moved to West Hunsbury.
